A film crew headed by anthropologist Steve Cale and director Terri Flores journey through a river to find a mysterious Indian tribe and shoot a documentary on them. They save a guy called Paul Sarone from a sinking boat. He offers to help in their search for the tribe, but he is actually a snake-hunter looking for legendary anaconda snake, and when Cale is bitten by some tropical insect, Sarone takes over the boat.
Having very little expectations I got a lot more than I expected. This movie is good enough as dumb and brainless entertainment. You shouldn&#39;t expect it to be anything more than that. The snake is decently animated, the characters are as cliché as they can be but they somehow are intriguing enough, Jennifer Lopez is hot as ever and the story has some good frights for its audience.<br/><br/>Perfect if you had a rough day and want something to fill up a dull moment, without having to think about anything. Therapeutical as meditation, almost! Or just complete and utter crap for the serious film lover that can&#39;t stand anything without a decent storyline. ;)
Considering the fact that Jennifer Lopez doesn&#39;t look sexy in her role as Terry I have to say that there is nothing good about this movie, apart from the setting - the Amazon river is really beautiful and quite well photographed.<br/><br/>Everything else is stupid: Jon Voight&#39;s unconvincing acting, Jonathan Hyde&#39;s semi-funny character, the plot itself and the screenplay that gives the actors no other opportunity than screaming and being really scared. And what does rapper Ice Cube do in a horror film?<br/><br/>Watch &quot;Jurassic Park&quot;.
A slick, scary, funny Creature Feature, beautifully photographed and splendidly acted in high adventure style.
